Bonne nuit tranquille dans cette
baie au N-E de Kastos. Nous partons après avoir téléphoné à Jan et Julia pour
leur dire au revoir. Nous remontons un peu vers le nord, contournons la pointe
nord de l’ile de Kastos et longeons sa côte ouest vers le sud. Nous allons à
Sarakiniko, une baie que nous connaissons. C’est une jolie baie avec un petit
quai. Quand nous arrivons la place est prise. Les gens de ce bateau nous disent
qu’ils vont partir dans une heure, donc nous nous mettons le nez sur le coin du
quai et une ancre derrière. Nous mettons les vélos et roulons sur une bonne
piste, d’abord au port de Kastos (la « capitale de l’ile ») puis nous
continuons en longeant la côte est et remontons vers la grotte. Cette piste n’est
pas plate ! Nous montons, descendons, remontons … sous un soleil « de
plomb ». J’en connais une qui commence à ne pas trouver cela si rigolo. Après
5,5 km, nous faisons demi-tour, 11 km comme cela vaut bien 25 km plats. Retour
au bateau, le quai est maintenant disponible. Baignade, déjeuner et sieste pour
tous les deux, la pauvre Jeannette est bien fatiguée. Nous reculons au moteur pour
aller relever l’ancre et avançons pour venir nous mettre au quai. J’attrappe une
amarre et tire pour amarrer Hera II au quai. C’est dur ! Jens va à terre
et tous les deux nous tirons fort … Hera II parait bien plus lourde que normal.
Jens pense que le moteur n’est pas bien au point mort, mais si. Nous l’amarrons.
Puis travail, Jens avec une fenêtre à réparer et moi le blog. Problème avec
Internet. Jens va mettre mon téléphone en haut d’un lampadaire sur le quai et
là ça
marche. Il fait beau, chaud et nous allons nous baigner encore une fois. Et là,
quand on nage autour du bateau, nous nous apercevons que notre ancre de
derrière a remonté une grosse chaine qui devait être au fond. Et voilà pourquoi
c’était si dur de tirer le bateau au quai ! Diner sous les étoiles, le
beau temps est bien revenu.

Good night in
this bay N-E of Kastos. We leave after calling Jan and Julia to say goodbye. We
go back a little towards the north, go around the northern tip of the island of
Kastos and follow its west coast towards the south. We are going to Sarakiniko,
a bay that we know. It’s a pretty bay with a small quay. When we arrive the
place is taken. The people on this yacht tell us that they will leave in an
hour, so we put our bow on the corner of the dock and an anchor behind. We put the
bikes on land and ride on a good track, first to the port of Kastos (the
“capital of the island”) then we continue along the east coast towards the
cave. This track is not flat! We go up, down, back up again... under a
“blazing” sun. I know someone who is starting to not find it so funny. After
5.5 km, we turn around, 11 km like that are worth 25 km flat. Back to the boat,
the dock is now available. Swimming, lunch and nap for both of us, poor
Jeannette is very tired. We motor back to pick up the anchor and move forward
to dock. I grab a mooring line and pull to moor Hera II to the dock. It's hard!
Jens goes ashore and we both pull hard… Hera II seems much heavier than normal.
Jens thinks that, maybe, the engine is not in neutral, but yes it is. Finally we
dock Hera II. Then work, Jens with a window to repair and me with the blog.
Problem with the Internet. Jens puts my phone on top of a lamppost on the quay and
it works. It's nice and warm and we're going to swim again. And there, when we
swim around the boat, we see that our anchor behind has pulled up a big chain
which must have been at the bottom. And that’s why it was so hard to pull the
boat to the dock! Dinner under the stars, the good weather has
returned.
