Levés à 6 h 50 pour faire la
lessive (2 machines en même temps) et que cela ait le temps de sécher puis
rangement, ménage et bagages. Je passe l’aspirateur mais il en manque un
morceau : le brosse est attachée directement au tuyau souple donc il faut
presque marcher à 4 pattes pour le passer. Il fait beau, chaud et un léger vent
sèche bien le linge. Jens fait un travail très important pour Hera II : il
change le récipient où sont les épingles à linge. Je fais le ménage à
l’intérieur et lui à l’extérieur. Pour nous rafraichir, nous allons nous baigner à la plage qui est à 2 km
d’ici, un petit tour en vélo. Pour arriver à cette plage, nous traversons une
sorte de lotissement de maisons de vacances. Des rues ont été tracées, toutes
droites et des terrains délimités, mais peu de terrains sont construits.
Certains ont mis une caravane sur leur terrain. Cela a l’air sympa et entre ces
terrains et la plage, nous passons une sorte de lande qui nous fait penser tous
les deux à … Udsholt au Danemark où nous avons la "sommerhus" ! Rapide bain de soleil, baignade et en rentrant
Jens prend, pour voir un chemin sur quelques dizaines de mètres. Ce chemin
longe une mare où nagent de nombreuses tortues noires ! Mais elles
entendent le bruit et plongent toutes. Je reste longtemps pour attendre
qu’elles se montrent. Jens rentre, mais je n’en vois qu’une sur un bout de
bois. Mais je vois un serpent qui nage. Dernier déjeuner sur Hera II. Jens, qui
a récupéré une valise ( !) dans la poubelle, regroupe tout le linge de
maison que les gens laissent dans cette valise et « fait sa valise »
une nouvelle fois. Il la range dans le box. Nous mettons ensuite une bâche sur
Hera II. Ce n’est pas très bien fait mais nous pensons que cela va tenir. Jens
retire l’échelle, range les vélos aussi dans le box et voilà, nous partons, il
est 15 h 30. Nous allons à Lavrio, un port à 30 km de l’aéroport que nous
aimons bien. Jens a réservé un AirBNB et il a
prévenu que nous arriverons vers 20 h. Ah ah ah ! Nous n’avions pas
prévu que c’était le retour du long week-end de pâques, la circulation est chargée
et comme il y a plusieurs péages … A l’un d’eux, à 60 km d’Athènes, nous y
passons une demi-heure. Et on aurait pu passer plus vite : il y avait 3
files qui avançaient bien, où les gens jettent la somme exacte dans une sorte d’entonnoir
en fer. Et nous avions la somme exacte, 1,9 €. Mais nous
n’avions pas compris le signe de ces files et nous étions dans une des files où
on paie à un employé. Mais pourquoi avoir ces prix, 1, 9 € ou 2,1 € ?
Pourquoi pas une somme ronde, 2 € par exemple ? Pourquoi faire simple quand on
peut faire compliqué ? (Les Shaddoks). Monsieur Google, voyant les
embouteillages, nous fait prendre l’ancienne route nationale qui longe la mer
et est agréable, et où, surtout, cela roule. Jens préviens la propriétaire du
AirBnB que nous arriverons plus tard. Nous passons Athènes sans problème et
c’est de l’autoroute jusqu’à l’aéroport et ensuite jusqu’à Lavrio. Nous y
arrivons à 21 h 30. La clé est dans une boite que Jens peut ouvrir avec un
code. Nous descendons sur le port pour manger un morceau et nous prenons deux
club-sandwiches. C’est bien trop, quand apprendrons-nous qu’une part aurait été
assez pour nous. Petit tour sur le port et au lit. Nous prenons l’avion demain
après-midi pour le Danemark où nous resterons quelques jours.
Bizarre, je n'ai pas de lundi 6 mai ...

We got up at
6:50 a.m. to do the laundry (2 machines at the same time) so that it had time
to dry, then we tidy up, clean and baggage. I vacuum but a piece is missing:
the brush is attached directly to the flexible hose so you almost have to walk
on all fours to pass it. The weather is nice, warm and a light wind dries the
laundry well. Jens does a very important job for Hera II: he changes the
container where the clothespins are. I clean the inside and he cleans the
outside. To refresh ourselves, we are going to swim at the beach which is 2 km
from here, a short bike ride. To get to this beach, we cross an area of holiday
homes. Streets have been laid out, all straight, and lots demarcated, but few
lots have been built. Some have put a caravan on their land. It looks nice and
between these grounds and the beach, we pass a sort of moor which reminds us
both of... Udsholt in Denmark where we have the "sommerhus"! Quick sunbathe, swimming and on returning Jens takes a
path for a few tens of meters. This path runs alongside a pond where many black
turtles swim! But they hear the noise and all dive. I stay a long time to wait
for them to show themselves. Jens goes home, but I only see one on a piece of
wood. But I see a snake swimming. Last lunch on Hera II. Jens, who retrieved a
suitcase (!) from the trash, gathers all the household linen that people leave
in this suitcase and “packs his suitcase” once again. He puts it in the box. We
then put a tarpaulin on Hera II. It's not very well done but we think it will
hold up. Jens removes the ladder, puts the bikes in the box as well and there
we go, it's 3:30 p.m. We're going to Lavrio, a port 30 km from the airport that
we like. Jens booked an AirBNB and said we would arrive around 8 p.m. Ah ah ah!
We had not anticipated that it was the return of the long Easter weekend, the
traffic is busy and as there are several tolls… At one of them, 60 km from
Athens, we stay half an hour. And we could have gone faster: there were 3 lines
moving along well, where people threw the exact amount into a sort of iron
funnel. And we had the exact amount, €1.9. But we didn't understand the sign of
these lines and we were in one of the lines where you pay to an employee. But
why have these prices, €1.9 or €2.1? Why not a round sum, €2 for example? Why
make it simple when you can make it complicated ? (The Shaddoks). Mr Google,
seeing the traffic jams, takes us on the old national road which runs along the
sea and is pleasant, and where, above all, it runs smoothly. Jens warns the
owner of the AirBnB that we will arrive later. We pass Athens without problem
and it's highway to the airport and then to Lavrio. We arrive there at 9:30
p.m. The key is in a box that Jens can open with a code. We go down to the port
to have a bite to eat and we have two club sandwiches. It’s way too much, when
will we learn that one serving would have been enough for us. Short tour of the
port and in bed. We are flying tomorrow afternoon to Denmark where we will stay
for a few days.
